Join Melanie as she shares her integrated understanding of the philosophy and practical application of Ayurveda and why it’s important to embody the wisdom of Ayurveda, yoga’s sister science.
Your yoga practice will rise to whole new level by understanding the Five Element Theory, three doshas (constitutions) and which postures and practices are meant for each one.
During the second half of the class you will experience an asana practice to pacify vata, the dosha responsible for 80% of symptoms including stress, anxiety and fatigue. Leave feeling grounded and relaxed with a stable and balanced nervous system.

Melanie Phillips (BFA, E-RYT, CAS) Is a certified Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist with advanced training under the direction of Dr. Vasant Lad, one of the leading pioneers of Ayurvedic Medicine in North America. Having immersed herself in ashram living and study at the Bihar University in India, and having taught yoga since 2000, her embodiment of Ayurveda, yoga, and a multitude of energy modalities has earned her excellence in leadership, teaching, and mentorship for those seeking a way home to their intuitive and brilliant nature.
Melanie created the Madhuri Method, an Ayurvedic Yoga advanced training for yoga teachers after witnessing the need for yoga to be offered in a way that allows for healing at any age, stage, or level of health. She also offers Inner Mastery Mentorship programs based in Ayurveda, yoga and energy work to facilitate and support healing at the root cause of imbalance—to provide a fresh perspective; integrate the lifestyle changes necessary to achieve great health and provide support and guidance in mindfulness based energy psychology.
