What in the World is Kundalini Yoga?

and Why it is AWESOME!

When: Sunday, 8:00 AM (1.5 hrs (90 min))
  Room: COM: Queenswood Arbutus

Description

Kundalini Yoga is the yoga of awareness.

Kundalini and Meditation employs POWERFUL yoga techniques to strengthen the body, stimulate the nervous system, and clear the subconscious mind so we can move past our blocks and experience the infinite source of divine power within. Kundalini is your energy flow. It is both personal and universal. The yoga, the union, is connecting to this energy within you, and realizing you can direct the flow.

In modern terms it may be more useful to say that Kundalini is the uncoiling of your authentic self, the uncoiling of our awareness of our spiritual nature, which is felt as an energizing and empowering force. The techniques of Kundalini yoga allow us to breathe, work, sweat, stretch through the unconscious boundaries that limit our potential, sourcing our empowerment, freedom and delight.

Come explore what this powerful practice has to offer. For those new to Kundalini and seasoned practitioners. Accessible for all ages, bodies, and abilities.

Participants Need

Please bring a yoga mat, water bottle (that can seal closed), a comfortable seat (chip foam block/bolster/cushion), blanket for savasana if you choose, layered clothing (we will move and meditate), and notebooks/journals are welcome.
